Shopping at Ubud

Ubud is recognized as the cultural center of Bali. It is where the image of Bali as a land of artist was created. Ubud is home to many respected local and western artists. It is the place for leisurely strolls through rice paddies, lush forest, breathtaking gorges and deserted swimming holes, all within walking distance from the center of Ubud.

Famous for its stone carvings, most of sculptures you see around Bali. Celuk and nearby Singpadu are the center of Balinese goldsmiths and silversmiths. Further along the road towards Ubud is the village of Mas which very famous for its woodcarvings.

The Superbowl

The Boomerang
Here you get whooshed down a slide 20 meters in height and when you reckon you’ve had enough you are pushed up a huge wall before you come back to planet earth again. This is certainly one of the top attractions.

The Jungle Ride
Just like the name implies this is a ride through ‘the jungle’. From here you have perfect vistas on the park, quit a relaxing ride too.

Bone idle River
When you’ve been washed away by either the Superbowl or the Boomerang than it’s time for some relaxed floating down the bone idle river in a gorgeous tropical setting that Bali is so well-known for.

Raft River
Here you find yourself making 360 degrees turns through various curves until you get dropped of in the pool again.

Macaroni
Here you get swooshed down on your macaroni tubes while you can delight in the tropical setting of indigenous flowers and plants all around you.

Smashdown
This is not for softies…Are you ready for 70 km/h down a 8-storey slide where you will also make a 60 degrees angle? This one gets to you and you want to climb the steps over and over just to feel the rush again. Fasten your swim wear though.

Race track
This one is ideal when you want to race your friends or parents. There are two sharp drops here where you feel weightless for a second before you end up at ground level again. In the picture up here it’s the two slides on the right.

Boogie Ride
This one is similar to the race track where you can compete with your friends and family again. With 90 meters it’s a small course so get your take off right.

In Bali, there are a lot of Water Sporting can be done in addition to surfing.

Banana boat is the most enjoyable experience. It thrills for all and feels like kids ride over the ocean with blue seawater on a big long soft marshmallow. It is a fantastic group game on the seawater.

This lakeside temple is a Hindu/Buddhist temple dedicated to Dewi Danau, the goddess of water. The gardens are beautifully landscaped with an abundance of colorful flowers. Since the climate is relatively low, Bedugul is particularly suitable for growing all types of produce.

Many flowers are cultivated here and the Bedugul market is renowned for its variety of fresh fruits and vegetables.

Sunset at Tanah Lot

Tanah Lot, probably the well-known and most photographed temple in Bali, is closely associated with the legendary pries Niratha. Legend says that as he passed by and was impressed by the tiny island's superb setting and suggeted to locals that it would be a good place to build a temple.

Tanah means earth in English while Lot means sea.

The temple symbolizes the meeting point of natural and cosmic elements.

Tanah Lot is also famous for its magnificent sunsets. Every dusk tourist flock to witness the fantastic starkly outlined temple against the glowing horizon.

The best view is from the cliff overlooking the temple.

At the entrance, there are also a lot stalls selling souvenir to the visitors. All the souvenirs here are relatively cheap across Bali. So it is advisable for to get there a little bit early before the dusk to do some shopping because after the sunset you might not get the satisfaction of shopping as the most of the stall are closed.
